Quick Look: NYX Bohemian Chic Palette

I finally purchase the NYX Bohemian Chic Palette and couldn't be happier! The possibilities for different looks are endless. The neutral shades on the top combined with the rich shades provided when you slide the bottom out can be put together to create looks ranging from natural to exotic. I've been playing around with different looks and so far this look is my favorite.

Here are the step by step instructions for creating the exotic look I created here.

1. Beginning with the dark teal color (1), I covered my entire lid going over it twice to get the full pop of color.

2. I then moved on to the burgundy color (2) and applied it to the crease, brushing it from the outer crease all the way to the inner tear duct. Clean off the brush and blend the burgundy (2) into the teal (1).

3. Apply the darker (3) matte brown shade lightly above the crease blending into the burgundy (2).

4. Apply the matte taupe color (4) above the lid just before the tear duct.

5. Next use the white (5) as a highlight color just below the brow bone blending in to the browns (3,4).

6. Apply the black (6) to the outer edge of the lid to deepen the color.

7. Using the first 2 colors (1,2) on a thin shadow brush, apply to the lower lash line.

8. Using my Coastal Scents pigment shadow in Spun Gold (, I lined the top lid, blending the gold lightly into the center of the lid to create an iridescent effect.      

9. Finish the look by using your favorite black gel liner winging it out slightly at the ends and applying a few coats of your favorite mascara. To enhance the look even more, you could use a set of dramatic false lashes.

Nailed It! Vintage Side Ponytail

As you all know, I love watching, and trying to duplicate, Luxy Hair Tutorials . These girls are awesome. They make the most difficult looking hairstyles look simple and easy to do.

Recently, Ive been looking for different "vintage inspired" hair tutorials to try because my best friend has started a pin up photography business called Pop & Locke Pin Up and may need help with hair and makeup from time to time. She does amazing work and I am honored just to have the chance to be involved. I definitely want to do a great job and I love pin up hair and make up so when I saw this video I just had to try it.

So here it is ya'll!

I didn't get the height that she got because I ran out of my favorite hairspray (of course) but this was such a quick and easy look that I will definitely perfect soon. I added a few E.L.F. falsies and frosted pink lipstick by Wet n Wild in the shade Light Berry Frost .

The Cayenne Cleanse

Whether you've been sick or have just eaten too much junk food, sometimes you just feel like your body needs a fresh start. A few members at work had been suggesting this cleanse to me for weeks and although I was weary of it, I decided to give it a try. I've been on a diet for a couple of months now and I felt that this is a great way to cleanse my body of its toxins naturally. This cleanse recipe sounds like an odd bunch of ingredients but the taste is so light and refreshing, it's easy to drink. In fact, you almost want to keep drinking just to get that refreshing lemony taste followed by the slight kick of the cayenne.

Here is the recipe:

60oz of water
1/2 cup of lemon juice fresh squeezed
1/2 cup maple syrup organic
Cayenne pepper to taste
